EW2008 - Instructions for Authors
Checklist for authors
- Follow the instructions given by the reviewers of your paper and
prepare its final version.
- Format the paper in the standard IEEE two-column conference
format.
- Convert the paper into IEEE Xplore compatible PDF by IEEE PDF
eXpress.
- Read the Copyright Agreement.
- Upload the final paper version to the EDAS using the same EDAS
number as you did for your original submission. This must be done by 4th May 2008.
- Register to the conference. This must be done by 4th May 2008.
- Arrange the hotel booking. See the details in the "Accommodation"
area. Please respect the individual deadlines.
- Select the tutorial you want attend and register to it by sending
the email to ew2008-tutorial-reg@ew2008.org.

prepare its final (camera-ready) version.

login is now active. All papers must have PDFs created/checked by PDF
eXpress.
Convert your paper into IEEE Xplore compatible PDF using IEEE
PDF eXpress. The conference ID is EW08x.
The IEEE Xplore compatible PDF format is described here.
Failure to provide the Xplore compatible PDF may result in your paper
being excluded from Xplore.
Copyright Agreement
Do not forget to read the Copyright
Agreement. You declare your agreement
with these conditions when supplying your contribution to the
VDE/conference.
Paper formating
- The paper length is 5 printed
pages (maximum 7 printed pages).
- The paper must be in PDF format only.
- Standard IEEE two-column format that is used in the IEEE
Transactions with the following exceptions: No headers, No footers, No
page numbers.
- Margins US Letter: top 0.75 inch, bottom 1 inch, side 0.625 inch;
A4: top 19 mm, bottom 43 mm, side 13 mm.
- The paper must follow standard IEEE
formating and templates for
Xplore compatibility.

EDAS upload of the final paper
Your final IEEE Xplore compatible PDF should be uploaded to the EDAS
system using the same EDAS ID as you have for your original (for
review) submission. The final papers must be at EDAS by 4th May 2008.
Failure to provide the Xplore compatible PDF in the given deadline
(accompanied by the payment and registration) may result in the paper
removal from the conference program and from IEEE Xplore.
Paper presentation at the conference
All accepted papers are accepted for oral presentation. The presenter
will have about 15 minutes to present the paper and about 5 minutes to
answer the questions. All presentation rooms will be equipped by the
computer and the data projector. Your presentation must be either in
PDF or PowerPoint format.

Paper preparation
All submitted papers must be
original, not previously published or
being under consideration for publication in another conference or
journal. The paper must clearly exhibit its originality, scientific
contribution and technical content. The paper must be written in
English language. Only full papers
are accepted for submission.
